Masala Khichya Papad – Recipe # 2
Method
Step 1
Roast khichiya papad on open medium flame till light brown spots appear on both the sides.
Step 2
Allow it to cool slightly, place it on a serving plate and press gently in the centre with your palm – to pieces.
Step 3
Apply 11/2 tsp melted butter evenly over it.
Step  4
Sprinkle 2 tbsp of cabbage, 2 tbsp of onions, 2 tbsp of cucumber, 2 tbsp of tomatoes and evenly spread salt as per taste all over it
Step 5
Top with 1 tsp of garlic & green chutney evenly over it.
Step 6
1/2 tsp of lemon juice evenly over it, sprinkle some nylon sev.
Step 7
Optional -  can add grated mozzarella cheese.
Step 8
Garnish with coriander leaves.  Ready to serve

Ingredients for Masala Khichiya Papad Recipe
Papad khichiya, readymade 4
Oil for deep-frying
Butter ½ tablespoon
Red chilli-garlic chutney 1 tablespoon
Green chutney as required
Onion chopped 1 medium
Tomato chopped 1 medium
Fresh coriander leaves chopped as required
Chaat masala to sprinkle
Method
Step 1
Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.Deep-fry papads till they puff up. Drain on absorbent paper.
Step 2
Heat butter in a non-stick pan. Add red chilli-garlic chutney and sauté for a minute. Transfer into a bowl.
Step 3
Spread some butter-chutney mixture and green chutney on each fried papad.
Put some onion, tomato and coriander leaves on top. Sprinkle some chaat masala on top.

Step 4
Ready to Serve.
